God's Purpose for you
Updated: 1 day ago
God lovingly created each of us with a unique purpose and calling. By following God's guidance, we can discover our true passions and talents. Some individuals are drawn to professions like paramedics or police officers out of a sense of divine calling. Despite life's challenges, faith in God and His love provide hope and redemption. The testimonies of Christian Jews highlight the transformative power of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, eternal salvation in Christ offers a profound hope beyond life's hardships.
Just picture this: way before you even existed, God made you with so much love and care, on purpose, for a reason. I think deep down, we all have that one thing that God put in our hearts, something we're meant to do or love, and if we pay attention to God's guidance, His Spirit within us will guide us to our true calling, passion, talent, or job.
In Jeremiah 1:5 God says, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.
Consider this: how many of you have the ability or desire to pursue a career as a paramedic, doctor, or police officer. There are individuals who have chosen these professions out of a genuine sense of compassion and empathy, as if it were a calling from God. These individuals are uniquely equipped to handle challenging situations and fulfill their societal roles with bravery.
God's calling is irrevocable when it comes to His Church. Pastors and ministries all have their special heartfelt compassion, whether it's for persecuted Christians like Open Doors, or WordWise's Pastor Johan du Toit, who has a special place in his heart for China and the underground Church, as well as writing teaching material for students across the globe. Another example is Bill Johnson, whose gift is unwrapping the Word and who is blessed with sharing revelations within.
Romans 11:29 - For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
As a child under five, I pondered my purpose and spoke to Jesus. Despite being a rebel and a sinner growing up and delving into Eastern philosophy, New Age fads and false religions. I always felt God's presence and I could hear His voice. He knows us inside out, our secret motives and even our cringes. He showed me that my heart was His by knowing what is authentic and what is false - even amidst societal pressures.
The reason why I resonate with Israel and the Jews is that not only is my Lord and Saviour Jewish, but also the Heart of the Father shines through His love for Israel and His chosen people. The Jews continue to choose life, continue to hope, and I don't see self-pity from human beings who have experienced the worst hatred and continue to be despised for no reason other than being Jewish by a global anti-Semitic ignorant society. For me, I'm personally inspired and encouraged by witnessing the resilience of this extraordinary nation. And like a child, I want to know everything about our new home one day.
When the world focuses on Gaza and how the citizens are suffering, not much exposure is given to Israel and the food shortage due to their farms being decimated or abandoned, and how families have to rebuild their homes and go back to scenes of carnage. It's unimaginable how difficult this must be for human beings who were just living their lives without hatred in their hearts.
Just recently watching One For Israel, I was fascinated to hear Messianic Jews share their testimonies and their excited reactions to when they first read the New Testament, and how they can relate to our Lord Jesus - who experienced rejections, unfounded hatred, and was persecuted and experienced a cruel death.
I read the Old Testament to learn about the motley crew of heroes God chose and how everything changes with Jesus - Yeshua - The Messiah. It's a testament of Love and Grace that fulfills the law when we give our hearts to Him and repent - turn from our sins. His Blood is more than sufficient - no more bells and ropes tied around the high priest's ankles to pull them out of the Holy Place because of the stench of our sins. It's a New Testament of Love, Hope, and Redemption and the continuation of our family lineage whether you are Jewish or Christian - the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is our Heavenly Father, and to love one another fulfills the law.
Romans 13:8 - You shall love your neighbour as yourself. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command.
And no matter how tough or cruel life can get - nothing can compare to what lies ahead. Eternal Salvation in Christ, The Son of God, The King of kings, Lord of lords.
