My As a freelance TV producer, I've produced 10-20 minute inserts for South African television broadcasters for more than 15 years. My former partner Grant Nelson and I produced our first television insert in 1999, I was 27 years old, and it won both local and international awards, highlighting the cruel fowl practices of foie gras production. The last Carte Blanche insert that I produced with my late husband, Jacques Robert Otto was in 2013. It featured the controversial HPV vaccination progam that was due to be implemented at schools and two multinationational pharmaceutical companies were competing for the contract; GSK and MERCK. However, most of our television productions shone the light on environmental, conservation, and wildlife stories, highlighting unsung heroes throughout Africa. Our productions over the years have won numerous local and international awards.
